This lake is a great spot for pulling fish after fish out of the water. But let’s get down to it! In the lake, you’ll find “Largemouth and smallmouth bass, muskellunge, walleye, yellow perch, white perch, pumpkinseed, bluegill, crappie and bullhead.” (  So grab your fishing gear, and bring a stringer for your catches because even if you spent your entire time out on the lake, it would be a trip well spent.



Chautauqua Lake is a prime lake for great boating adventures! It is widely considered to be one of the easiest to navigate in the country and is therefore a popular summer location for many boating enthusiasts. Chautauqua Institution

This center for higher learning also functions as a resort for many and remains one of the lake’s most visited tourist attractions. Amongst being visited by many celebrities and public figures, the Chautauqua Institution has also welcomed four presidential guests including Ulysses S. Grant, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and Bill Clinton.
