The Wegryn’s rented our 19 ft. Airstream Flying Cloud for their first West Virginia Road Adventure trip. They stayed at the Babcock State Park in West Virginia, one of West Virginia’s most iconic locations. The Babcock State Park has a whopping 4,127 acres of rhododendron-lined trails and rippling, rock-strewn streams.
New River Gorge Bridge
Located 20 miles south of the New River Gorge Bridge, the park is most known for the Glade Creek Grist Mill, a fully functional replica of the original Cooper’s Mill, located nearby. The Wegryn’s visited the mill, and hiked some of the trails at the park.
The couple then ventured into Fayetteville on their West Virginia Road Adventure and did the bridge walk tour over the New River- which they said was very cool! Check out the awesome picture below of them on the bridge. Caution- probably not suited for those who do not like heights!
West Virginia Features Beautiful Wild Flowers
They didn’t stop there! The adventurous couple then hiked the Endless Wall, a 2.7 mile loop near Lansing, West Virginia that features beautiful wild flowers. The trail offers stunning views of both the river and the woods as you can see from the photo below.
