June, 2026

Amidst the rolling farmland and woodlands of north-central Ohio lies Hickory Grove Lake RV Park offers a camping experience that combines outdoor recreation, family-friendly fun, and the peaceful charm of rural Ohio. Located just outside Marion, this hidden gem has become a favorite destination for campers seeking a relaxing getaway without venturing far from home.

Whether you’re planning a weekend retreat, a week-long vacation, or a seasonal stay, Hickory Grove Lake provides the perfect setting to unplug, unwind, and enjoy the simple pleasures of campground life.

LAKESIDE FUN FOR ALL AGES

At the heart of Hickory Grove Lake is the water itself. The park’s scenic lake creates a welcoming backdrop for fishing, kayaking, and leisurely afternoons spent enjoying the outdoors. Guests can cast a line from the fishing areas, launch a kayak, or simply relax along the shoreline while taking in the peaceful surroundings. Fishing at the lake is catch-and-release, helping preserve the experience for future visitors.

For those who prefer swimming, the campground offers both a sandy beach area and a swimming pool complete with splash features, making it easy for families to cool off during Ohio’s warmer months.

A FAMILY CAMPGROUND WITH PLENTY TO DO

One of the things that makes Hickory Grove Lake stand out is its wide variety of activities. Beyond the lake, guests will find miniature golf, a playground, basketball courts, bike riding opportunities, a game room, and a dog park for four-legged campers. Weekend activities often include games, crafts, cook-offs, cornhole tournaments, live entertainment, and other family-friendly events that bring campers together.

The campground’s welcoming atmosphere makes it easy for first-time visitors to feel at home. Children can spend the day making new friends while adults relax around the campsite or enjoy the park’s many recreational opportunities.

COMFORTABLE CAMPING IN A BEAUTIFUL SETTING

Situated on approximately 38 acres surrounded by mature woodlands and open farm fields, the campground offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. RV travelers can choose from standard or premium sites, including full-hookup options, while cabin accommodations provide another comfortable way to enjoy the property. Modern amenities such as shower houses, laundry facilities, a camp store, and spacious RV sites help make every stay enjoyable.

The combination of natural beauty and convenient amenities creates an environment where guests can enjoy the outdoors without sacrificing comfort.

EXPLORE THE NATURAL BEAUTY OF MARION COUNTY

One of Hickory Grove Lake’s biggest advantages is its location. The campground is connected to the expansive Big Island Wildlife Area and sits near the Marion Tallgrass Trail, offering opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, birdwatching, and cycling. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the chance to explore thousands of acres of protected habitat while remaining just minutes from their campsite.

This unique combination of campground recreation and nearby outdoor adventure makes Hickory Grove Lake an excellent base camp for exploring the natural side of Ohio.
