Fancy Gap, Virginia has a population of less than 250 people and is surrounded by beautiful forests, snaking paths, and tree-topped mountains. Blue Ridge Mountains
Fancy Gap has several mountain landmarks to check out and enjoy while you’re in the area. The Blue Ridge Mountains is where Fancy Gap is nestled. In this area, you can see and feel the awe-inspiring atmosphere that the mountains offer. So whether you would like to take in everything from a distance and scenic point-of-view, or venture up the very peak on a hiking adventure, these mountains are a must to enjoy.
Devil’s Den Nature Preserve
The rock formations peppered among the trees in this 280-acre preserve are something truly enjoyable. This preserve is worth heading to for a day of hiking and sightseeing. Be sure to check out Devil’s Den while you are there!
Skyland Lakes Golf Club
Fore! This golf resort has 18 holes of peaceful bliss surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains and is one of the top spots to visit in the area. Skyland Lakes Golf club includes a fully stocked clubhouse, a pro shop and a bar & grill. They are ready and able to offer high-class entertainment for your entire visit. Fun fact: the par for the whole course is 71.
Visit Mayberry!
Mayberry, North Carolina is a location central to the classic sitcom, The Andy Griffith Show, and is just a short drive from Fancy Gap. A small walk down Mount Airy’s Main Street will make you feel like you’ve plopped into television history with businesses even naming themselves after Mayberry from the show!

Restaurants in Fancy Gap offer casual dining as their specialty. During your visit, you may want to stop by The Gap Deli at the Parkway, one of the most popular eating establishments in the area. This quaint restaurant offers American cuisine and comes highly rated by fellow visitors!
